RACEHORSE BREAKING AND PRE-TRAINING SERVICE
Ben Lund Racing specialise in offering a professional racehorse breaking and pre-training service.
Based on the Quantock Hills in Somerset, working from a purpose built yard with excellent facilities, Ben Lund and his experienced team prepare young thoroughbreds for racing, from breaking through to pre-training for both flat and jump racing.
Our facilities include a light, airey barn with large monarch stables, fully rubber matted with large, comfortable straw beds and top quality haylage on site. The yard is very private and secure with CCTV and 24 hour supervision. We have direct access to a 7 furlong all-weather gallop, large all-weather lunge pen, large 6 horse walker, schooling hurdles, fences and starting stalls and use of an indoor sand arena with loose schooling track, along with fantastic off-road riding over the Quantock Hills.
We understand the importance of providing a first class introduction to young horses starting a career in racing. By creating an educational environment and a set routine, we are able to ensure all horses leave our yard confident in their job and ready for life on a race training yard.
We take pride in providing a comfortable, settled environment for our horses at what is a very important stage in their training.
Our facilities allow us to produce these young horses to a very high standard, managed by Ben Lund, who has over 20 years experience in the racing industry. Horses leave us within a few weeks of full race-fitness, well prepped both physically and mentally and with the valuable skills required to continue their training and reach their maximum potential.
We also deal with horses returning to the racecourse following time out through injury, through our rehabilitation and re-starting service.
We work with trainers and owners, providing individual progress updates and photos as required.
Please contact us for more information on the services we provide, and for any additional enquiries. We often post updates to our social media pages, allowing others to follow the progress of our breakers and pre trainers as they progress through the different stages of their training.
